College of Engineering
Previous College of Engineering majors wishing to be readmitted to the College of Engineering:
- If you are returning from a leave of absence or withdrawal (VDIS), you may seek readmission to the same major within the CoE. There is no additional requirement for completion of additional coursework or supplemental application. Should you wish to change your major within the CoE, you may look to do so once back at UConn through the internal admission process.
- Students returning from academic dismissal must complete the minimum course requirements as further outlined on the Scholastic Standing website linked here.
Note: If you left the University with a cum GPA lower than 2.3, you are no longer eligible for direct readmission to the College of Engineering but may seek readmission as an ACES student to pursue a parallel path to Engineering.
Students from other schools/colleges wishing to be admitted to the College of Engineering:
- The College of Engineering does not allow for direct admittance to CoE majors for students not previously enrolled in CoE majors.
- All CoE majors require an admission application, reviewed in January or June. Further information about the minimum course requirements and academic requirements for admission can be found linked here.
- Students not previously enrolled in the College of Engineering should apply for readmission as an ACES student and consult with an ACES advisor about major goals and parallel planning.
- Once readmitted to UConn, prospective CoE students can apply for admission to the CoE major of interest, if eligible.
