UConn Swipes

UConn Swipes Logo

UConn Swipes is a program managed by the Dean of Students Office in partnership with Dining Services. Storrs students (grad or undergrad) who are experiencing food insecurity can meet with an Assistant Dean to determine if they qualify for the Swipes program.

To be considered for this program, currently enrolled UConn students facing food insecurity can schedule an appointment with an Assistant Dean of Students. Through a holistic conversation, the Assistant Dean and student will look at issues affecting the student and complete a needs assessment to determine if the student qualifies for the Swipes program. When a student qualifies they are provided a block of 25 meals to use in any of the UConn Dining Halls and the meals are added that day. The meeting will include referrals to other appropriate resources as well to help in the long term.

Come to drop-in hours or schedule an appointment by calling 860-486-3426.
