Members of the Dean of Students staff are available for in-person, online or phone appointments with Storrs students. In addition, drop-in hours are held Mon-Fri from 1-3:30. Regional campus students should reach out to the Student Services staff at their home campus for support.

The Dean of Students Office provides resources to students struggling with a variety of issues and seeks to be the “go to” spot for student assistance on campus.

Short Term Emergency Loan (STELF)
Loans are available to Storrs undergraduate degree seeking students.
The loan must be for school related expenses and
cannot be used to pay a balance owed to the University.
STELF Information
All loans must be repaid by the end of the semester in which it was requested.
Students with an active Bursar hold are not eligible for a STELF loan.
Students First Fund
When a student is facing an unexpected crisis, we may be able to financially support through a Students First Fund grant.
Currently enrolled UConn students can talk to the Dean of Students Office to determine eligibility for this program.

UConn Swipes
The Swipe Out Hunger Program aims to provide students who are food insecure, and/or who are experiencing an emergency situation, access to healthy and well-balanced meals in our campus dining halls.
Currently enrolled UConn students can talk to the Dean of Students Office to determine eligibility for this program.
