Welcome! Our primary goal in the DOSO is to help every undergraduate Husky succeed at UConn. We aim to foster a strong sense of community and belonging for all students. We help to connect you with resources and provide support throughout your journey at UConn. We are with you every step of the way!
If you are experiencing any of the following, please come to the office during our drop-in hours, Monday through Friday, or call to make an appointment.
- Questions about transitioning to college life
- Missing classes/significantly behind in coursework
- Injury or Illness which is impacting classes
- Experiencing a personal/family issue and need to leave campus
- Experiencing depression, anxiety, panic and/or other general mental health concerns
- Experiencing racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and/or macroaggressions
- Financial struggles/housing insecurity/food insecurity
- Physical/sexual assault, stalking or harassing behavior
- Relationship challenges/intimate partner violence
- Victim of bullying
- Need to access multiple campus resources
- Not sure where to access help
Fall & Spring Drop In Hours
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 1:00pm-3:00pm in Wilbur Cross room 203. *Students who check-in by 3:00pm will be seen that day.*
Wednesdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm in one of our Cultural Centers
Thursdays from 9:00am-11:30am in Wilbur Cross room 203. *Students who check-in by 11:30am will be seen that day.*
