The Dean of Students Office is available to provide guidance and support to students who are victims of violence or other crimes. Students are connected with a variety of support services on campus as well as given assurance of freedom from intimidation and harassment for reporting an alleged incident. The Dean of Students Office can provide information regarding the criminal and campus conduct processes and act as a liaison between the student and departments.
The Assistant Dean of Students for Victim Support Services provides support, assistance, and information to victim-survivors of sexual assault, partner violence, stalking, and sexual harassment. She can explain the available resources and University investigation process, assist with academic and other concerns, and aid the student throughout the course of the investigation. A victim-survivor does not need to make a formal report or press charges to receive help from the Assistant Dean of Students for Victim Support Services.
