Community Standards
The University of Connecticut seeks to balance the needs and the rights of the individual with the welfare of the community as a whole. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with the values embraced by the University community and reflected in Responsibilities of Community Life: The Student Code, The UConn Creed, and other applicable policies. Community Standards support the rights of both students and other members of the University community by supporting the University mission. Our goal is to help students succeed at UConn and beyond and we do this by educational outreach, resolution of student conduct cases, and connecting students to the community through creative sanctioning. Learn more about the various ways student conduct cases are resolved by reading the Student Conduct Policies of The Student Code.
